RotoRank (rotorank.com) is operated by Ben Birkinbine ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), the name you enter, and your username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Game activity: the rankings you create and submit, your scores, and the leagues you create or join.
- Technical information: our hosting and database providers automatically log information such as IP address, browser type and request times to operate and secure the service.
We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not collect payment information.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and sign you in
- To run contests, calculate scores and display leaderboards
- To send account emails, such as sign-up confirmation and password resets
- To respond to your messages and to prevent abuse
What other people can see
Public leaderboards show your username, your scores and your standings. Your real name and email address are never shown publicly. Members of a league you join can see your username and league results.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run RotoRank, and only as needed to do so:
- Supabase: database and user accounts
- Vercel: website hosting
- Resend: account emails
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of RotoRank and its users.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your browser's local storage remembers preferences such as light or dark mode and the sport you last viewed.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account, email ben@rotorank.com from the address on your account. We will delete your account, profile and rankings within 30 days, and your entries will be removed from leaderboards. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time.
You can update your name and username at any time on your profile page, and you can ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it by emailing ben@rotorank.com.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security.
Age requirement
RotoRank is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes, we will notify users by email or on the site.
